WebTechCon 2012

Relational data bases are slow - at least if one is depending on a data model which simply does not really fit that perfectly. Isn't it possible for a NoSQL data base to help with this problem, is it? At the WebTechCon 2012 in Mainz, Michel Krämer from the department Spatial Information Management of the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics IGD describes how user can be closer to data with MongoDB by using the CityServer3D as an example. Aidful hints from practical work are going to be presented as well as some code.

The portfolio of the WebTech Conference represents the whole range of technologies concerning this topic. This contains HTML5 and JavaScript as well as architectural topics, cloud computing and web security.
