The CityServer3D can be used to manage 3D geo information. It offers access to geodata via standardized interfaces. When connected to already existing data infrastructures, the CityServer3D helps you to efficiently manage your 3D city models. The integrated continuation processes grant a sustainable use of your information. Integrating multimedia content can positively affect the presentation of your geodata. The CityServer3D can be used for urban planning, simulation and data analysis.
Services and applications
The CityServer3D consists of several components which are grouped into to packets:
- CityServer3D Spatial Information Management (SIM): Integration, continuation
and editing of 2D and 3D geodata via our rule-based data management approach
- SIM Admin: Desktop application with a large feature set. Import and export of geodata in a local working area or into the CityServer3D SIM Service. Quality assurance, rule definition, data editing and a lot more.
- SIM Service: Allows managing an unlimited number of data sources (databases, files, services) in order to create an integrated 3D city model which can be delivered through web services (W3DS, WFS and others).
- CityServer3D VIEW Service: Provisioning of 3D geodata and applications
based on integration 2D and 3D information.
- VIEW Admin: Desktop application which supports importing of data into the local working set or into the CityServer3D VIEW Service. In particular this software allows defining 3D scenes and web applications.
- VIEW Service: Provisioning of geodata managed by a CityServer3D instance via a powerful 3D web service interface (W3DS). Moreover this service allows provisioning in various formats such as VRML, X3D, CityGML as well as fully functional 3D applications based in HTML5 and WebGL.
- InstantReality Player: 3D visualization solution for large data. Runs on various platforms including virtual reality systems as well as smart phones
- CityServer3D WebAdmin: Web client which can be used to configure and monitor the SIM and VIEW service. Apart from that, it allows importing data via a web interface without using the AdminTool.
- CityServer3D Viewer: Feature-reduced version of the SIM Admin. Allows importing and visualizing data in a local working set.
